Journeying through Time: Chronicles of Dr. Sri Gurumurthy Guruji and the Evolution of Puttenahalli - A Glimpse into the Past

In the year 1994, Dr. Sri Gurumurthy Guruji, affectionately known as Sri Guruji, inhabited the Puttenahalli area of JP Nagar Seventh Phase, which is now the location of the revered Shirdi Sai Baba temple. During that era, this locale was enveloped by expansive meadows, and just beyond them, a lush Mango forest and sprawling mango fields thrived. During those times, several scattered houses dotted the landscape.

Furthermore, the JP Nagar area's seventh phase, including the Puttenahalli Palya region, existed as a nascent township. For individuals seeking to journey between different places, the options were limited; they had to trek to JP Nagar 6th Phase or Sarakki to access transportation facilities.

During that era, Dr. Sri Gurumurthy Guruji was a student in the Eighth standard at the Patel Education Society located in NS Palya, an area proximate to the iconic BTM structure in Shirdi.

On a beautiful day, the school day concluded earlier than usual due to a headcount procedure. Dr. Sri Gurumurthy Guruji then embarked on the journey home, choosing to walk. He left the school campus in the late morning and, upon arriving at his residence, indulged in a brief afternoon repose. The solitary walk had left him a tad weary, as he traversed the path on his own while his mother, Guruji’s guiding presence, was away for work.

In a gentle tone, Sai Baba spoke, saying, "Gracious child, didn't I tell you that whenever you call upon me, I shall appear? Great, Allah has now cleared a path." As I raised my gaze to behold his countenance, I witnessed an incredibly bright reflection within the depths of the man’s eyes.

Shirdi Sai Baba placed his hand on my shoulder and continued, "Dear child, for the betterment of the entire world, sow the seed of Gnana, sermonize Dharma, and guide everyone towards the path of truth, the Satya Marg."

Divine Footprints: An Enchanted Encounter with Sai Baba's Presence

A few days following this incident, my attention was drawn to the Tulasi Brindavan situated at the entrance of our home, overflowing with withered Tulasi leaves. While removing the soaked Tulasi Plant from the Brindavan, I was taken aback, stunned by the sight of a pair of feet gleaming with a soft blue radiance.

During that period, I was in my youth, and comprehending that these were the Paada feet of Sai Baba was beyond my grasp. I stood there, astonished and incredulous. I examined the footprints once more, only to find them imprinted in the soil where the elderly man had stood a few days earlier (of course, I had no inkling that the old man was none other than Shirdi Sai Baba).

Amidst my disbelief, the footprints began to grow brighter. The memory of this sacred encounter remains etched in my mind. Even now, I can vividly recall the impressions of Sai Baba's feet, left as he came to bestow his divine presence upon me.

Revisiting the events of that day, it felt as though my consciousness had momentarily faded. Approximately 45 minutes later, I heard the familiar utterance, "Allah Malik." As I turned my head, a wave of disbelief washed over me – there stood the same elderly man I had encountered earlier at my doorstep.

In a mystic revelation, he confided in me that he had heightened the luminosity of the footprints. An indescribable euphoria washed over me; my body felt weightless, and a sensation of exhilaration coursed through me as Baba's hand rested gently on my head.

Sri Gurumurthy Guruji's Mystical Encounter: A Glimpse of the Divine in the Whispered Words 'Malik'

Dr. Sri Gurumurthy Guruji recalls, "On that same evening when I had fallen into slumber's embrace, a voice resounded within, uttering 'Malik.' Abruptly, that enchanting voice roused me from my sleep, and before me stood an elderly figure, adorned with a grown beard that exuded a sense of profound wisdom. His presence was reminiscent of a Great Holy Power."

"Clothed in a white shroud veiling his head, and donned in a creased and weathered off-white kurta, he held a Bhiksha bowl in his grasp. The whiteness of his beard and the grace of his demeanor led me to perceive him as a wanderer or perhaps a destitute soul. However, a recollection of my mother's counsel not to engage with strangers prompted me to politely ask him to depart."

"Though the weight of confusion and disturbance hung heavily upon me, I found the courage to request the old man to leave. But as the words escaped my lips, the old man raised his hand toward the heavens and pronounced, 'Malik. Kind child, I recognize your essence, yet do you recognize mine? Are you not concerned with completing the task left unfinished?'"

"His words ignited a realization within me, hinting at the possibility that this aged wanderer might be a celestial sage or a seer of destinies (Kani Man). Once again, I humbly requested the man to depart. In response to my plea, the old man reassured, 'Very well, the doors shall open, Malik is the Sovereign,' and began to take his leave."

"Barely a few steps had he taken when he seemed to dissolve into thin air, vanishing from my sight in an ephemeral instant. A sense of distress overcame me, witnessing his sudden disappearance. Internally, I pondered, 'Could this elderly wanderer be deprived of sustenance?'"

"Moved by compassion, I swung open my abode's entrance and ventured outside, driven to find the enigmatic figure. Yet, the surroundings yielded no trace of his presence. This mystery deepened my bewilderment, for I pondered how swiftly he had departed, fading from view in a mere two minutes."

"As I embarked on a quest to trace the footsteps of the aged wanderer, all my efforts yielded naught but the faint echo of his fleeting visit, an enigma woven into the ethereal fabric of that memorable encounter."
